I like this salt lamp. I cannot comment on small or medium lamps as I ordered the large size and it is substantial and makes a statement. Have ordered several other (cheaper) salt lamps over the past two months and this is by far the prettiest, well made and securely packaged of all. Most of the cheaper lamps I've ordered had problems and had to be returned or weren't worth the return. I wish I had saved up front by ordering these other lamps as this lamp costs extra dollars. I'm thinking about buying another one. Felt a lot heavier than expected (15 pounds) but still looks great. UPDATE 1/9, just got my second big lamp and again it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I could only go for a third
