I wanted to replace a bulky smart plug with a smart lightbulb to add dimming to an old bedside lamp. This bulb was easy to set up and with a few caveats it's fine. The only bright enough setting is achieved by turning on the "Warm White" switch in the app (Warm white is close to "Orange" on the color wheel, but the light emitted is much brighter). Unfortunately, you can't access this brighter setting when using ALEXA. None of the other colors can be as bright... even at 100% the light is significantly reduced... so to illuminate the room to the max you need to use "warm light". I'm not sure if this bug can be fixed with a firmware or software update - if it can be fixed then it should be. It is clear that the light bulb can emit brighter light, but only an orange color. I bought a bulb primarily to limit blue light exposure before bed and it works well in that regard. It dims up to 10%, but to completely darken a room, it needs to be turned off completely. The app is fine - it took two attempts to update the firmware and was very slow. I'm assuming the bulb can't connect to 5G WiFi, which is much faster on my router. Your phone and the lightbulb can be connected to different WiFi networks, so that's a plus. Overall it was fun playing with the light and trying different layers and colors. I like the dimming function, but I'm not a fan of pulsating light scenes. If there was an option for brighter light at different color temperatures I'd heartily recommend it as it's significantly cheaper than comparable bulbs... but it just feels like it's barely enough for reading. That's good for atmosphere, but you'll probably need an extra light source for reading or working.
