TLDR Surprisingly sturdy construction Wonderful construction Nice and solid feel Screws work well and feel nice when tightened I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by this little tripod when I opened the box. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but for the price, I was expecting something that would be a little better than what you could get at Walmart, but not by much. This tripod is much better. This little thing feels rock solid and the rubber feet on it really keep it in place. I know that sounds like an odd statement, but I'm so used to silly little things. Tricks to keep camera steady and low to the ground, this SmallRig mini tripod has really made me very happy. There's not much more to say about it, a wonderful premium feeling. And above all, the device should feel good when you move it. The clamping screws are easy to hold, they fit perfectly in the device. Strange statement again, but not putting any pressure on the screw so it doesn't slip off is very nice. I use this tripod to hold my camera up during macro photography with the included Manfrotto 454 slider, it does a great job of holding everything nice and stable and staying right where I want it. stable. I've attached a test photo, taking a batch of photos with this tripod works like a charm. This is a 5:1 macro shot of a beetle about 1mm long. Before I took these pictures, he looked pretty cute and fuzzy. He's standing on a flower and these little bulges are the cells of a petal, pretty solid tripod huh?
