The glass cylinder on my previous French Press broke and I couldn't believe that replacing a part cost almost as much as buying a new press. So wasteful. My goal was to find a press with no fragile or plastic parts and this fits the bill perfectly. Stainless steel is smooth and very easy to clean. This makes a 10-ounce cup of coffee rich and delicious (depending on your beans, of course). The filter only lets through the finest grist, but I like to see some Turkish mud at the bottom of the cup. I won't order it again because I can't imagine it ever breaking. It's strong and durable - for me it's a consumer priority. I definitely recommend it. Whether you want to make two cups at a time or drink 16 ounces at a time, look for the larger version of this press.
