I removed the old and replaced it with the new. Having a C type output for my laptop or iPad that charges as fast as the original equipment that came with them is nice too have. And it also includes a USB output as well with a healthy rate of charge too. Everything can be used at the same time but it deflates charge times significantly. I do not like the safety one twenty volt outlets at all. They are not needed at all since the USB and the C outputs can still be accessible easily so why safety on just the outlets makes no sense to me but I can see some value that they present. If you know a bit about basic wiring it will be easy enough to change out the old with this direct replacement but if you don’t feel comfortable get a professional to do it because it is a electrical item. They are really pricy as well but do provide quality safe fast charging and I have four to place in areas we use the most and not having to haul a brick around all the time in the house for charging is a definite plus to have.
