Review on Power Up Your High-Tech Devices With EBL Non-Rechargeable Lithium AAA Batteries - 16 Pack by Dave Knain

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Cost benefit for my opinion

These lithium batteries are obviously more expensive than their alkaline brethren, so the question is, is the added cost worth the enhanced performance. Without too much boring detail, the answer is yes. Lithium batteries such as this EBL pack can last 8-10 times longer than standard alkaline batteries such as ebay Basics. If we take the low number (8), then cost per EBL battery is $0.20 vs. ebay Basics' alkaline $0.30. So EBL costs almost 1/3rd less. (Math: EBL $12.99 / 8 batteries = $1.62 per battery, then divide by 8 because EBL lasts 8 times longer than alkaline = $0.20. ebay Basics is $0.30 per battery as stated in product page. $0.20 / $0.30 - 1 = -34%; a little over 1/3rd which is 33%).But in addition to cost effectiveness, EBL has a number of other advantages over alkaline batteries: EBL has a longer shelf life, can operate at extremely low temperatures, are lighter in weight, and they hold their voltage for the entirety of its power. So EBL, by all accounts including cost is superior to standard alkaline batteries.

Pros
  • Everything I would expect reliable!
Cons
  • The batteries are not a cost-effective solution for frequent use
