From the outside, this device looks very minimalist, all made of plastic and not much larger than the scanning area. Since my last scanner was a lot bigger, heavier and had to be replaced just because I upgraded to Win10, I doubted the quality would be that good. In fact, however, the quality is quite up to the standard of the earlier scanner and is very economical. The UI takes a little getting used to (scan/copy/etc always from the device's built-in buttons, not in the app, which is only used to customize how pressing those buttons is handled, but actually works pretty well.
