Great sound quality - if you know what you're looking for

My first impression of them wasn't very good, they sent me the wrong color. In addition, my first impression of the build quality was very good. High quality resin from Germany, they feel stronger and harder than metal cases which can be cold and uncomfortable at first touch. The packaging was decent, with 3 different types of earbuds and a pair of medium size double flanged earbuds. Sound: The overall sonic impression was warm, relaxed and jazzy. Sweet and soft sound. Excellent detail but not overly bright, with a W-shaped sound and some mid-bass bloated/bleeding. The highs have never been sizzling, but could use a little more extension or brilliance. The detailing was very good. The upper mids were also very good, with lots of detail and tight vocals. The mid-bass was blown out, but I only lowered the EQ by about 3-4 decibels. The bass had good extension, with insanely good layers and really good attack speed. However, because the Fa7 only uses Balanced Armature, it lacked the punch that a dynamic driver could provide. I enjoyed listening to electronic music (some songs), jazz, pop and rock with them. "Had Some Drinks" by Two Feet sounded absolutely insane to her. "Man on a wire" by Scripts also sounded great on them as the bass has a strong presence with a slight punch. Other electric guitars with a wider dynamic range sounded bad on them. Hip-hop and more modern music like "Black Beatles" didn't sound very good. The sound is so beautiful and smooth, I would find a reason to just listen to music on it. If you are looking for contemporary music I recommend fh5 or ikko oh1. (ikko oh10 are out but I don't know much about them yet.)
