Review on πŸ”Š Bose SoundDock Portable 30-Pin Speaker Dock for iPod/iPhone - Enhanced SEO by Neil Bodell

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great sound, would like wifi.

I've been listening to Bose SoundDock Portable, Sound Freaq SFQ-01R Sound Platform, Logitech S715i Rechargeable, and Bose SoundLink Wireless mobile speakers in different environments at the same time. Here are my findings. Bose SoundDock Portable: This one had the best sound, beating the Logitech S715i. On the other hand, my iPhone had to be connected to it to play music. So if the phone was enough or I wanted to make a call or do something with my iPhone, I had to disconnect the phone, meaning no music playing, and then reconnect it to hear it again. Don't take an iPhone away from a man (or woman), he needs it all the time! the second negative, the dock seemed a little flimsy, like a hard hit and they disconnected and you send your system to Bose for an expensive repair. It's also a bit bulky in terms of portability. Sound Freaq SFQ-01R Sound Platform: Looks great and that's about it. I had no problems connecting my iPhone 3 to the system. I turned it on and listened. The sound was dull and tinny. The other three hit this one out of the water. Logitech S715i battery: I love this device (almost). This is a great home! The audio stays in balance on the Bose SoundDock until you turn it off. Unplugged it has some sort of volume limiter and base to save battery. boo! I wanted to use the device offline, i.e. without a connection to the network. After all, it has a battery in its name, which means that it is designed to be used without being connected to the mains. Big disappointment in that regard. On the plus side it has a cool retro look, a bit like my old boombox from the 80's only slimmer and better sounding! If the audio was the same when it was off as when it was plugged in, this device would be a clear winner over the Bose SoundDock Portable (due to the insanely low price and similar sound quality, volume and bass), but unfortunately turning it off turns it into a weak one , obsolete version of itself. Bose SoundLink Wireless: This was an absolute winner for me and is the one I now own, use and love. Firstly, the sound is really very good, both at low and high volumes. This kid can pump both high and low frequencies (and middle, of course). The sound is definitely not as good as the Bose SoundDock Portable or the Logitech S715i connected, but definitely better than the Logitech S715i without a network connection. Secondly, it's very easy to connect to multiple Bluetooth devices, it has a small Bluetooth button on top, you press and hold it for a few seconds, the light flashes, it beeps, turn on your device and bam!, you are connected . Third, it's super portable, which is a portable device that I want to take with me. It's the size of a guidebook, slips easily into your backpack, suitcase, or even under your arm and you're good to go. The most portable of all the devices I review here. I love this machine so much that I bought a second one and gave it to my girlfriend for Christmas, she takes it to work and uses it there. She complemented his great sound more than once. By the way, if you need a leather case, you should buy a vinyl block.
