I received this coat just in time! Winter has settled in upstate New York. My Brittany rescue came from St. Louis, Missouri, and can't seem to deal with our cold here. His teeth even chatter when it gets too cold, and there's still a lot to do this winter! He is a large 40 pound Brittany and according to the chart I ordered a medium for him. It suits him perfectly. It is designed like a horse blanket - there are no holes to put your front legs through. The strap that secures the coat is strong and the velcro on the strap is thick and overlaps making it very secure. It would take years for dog hair to fully coat this tape and render it unusable. Once you've adjusted the collar, it slides right over your dog's head for easy donning. This is a heavier weight coat with a silky Thinsulate lining to keep it comfortable and warm. The best dog coat he's ever had!
