Great for iPhone X and great without a case. I don't have a case on my phone and instead have a case so I can put it on and take it off easily (the top right and left corners make it easy to grab the phone to take it out). I love this because when my phone is in my backpack or purse, or when I'm carrying it in my hand, I know it won't get scratched or damaged if I drop it. The material is interesting - it feels very waterproof and hard as it withstands falls well and feels synthetic rather than soft or natural. However, the inner lining is soft and its firmness makes me feel like it will last a long time. The edges are also sealed very neatly so I know they won't fray or fray easily. I also like the card slots as it's very easy to take out the card when needed, but it's also great for my student ID which I used to clip to my car keys (useful as all the buildings on campus require access on the map). I don't know why the other reviewer had trouble removing the cards or the phone, but I can see that it doesn't work quite as smoothly if you have a case on your phone or want to load multiple cards (I'd stick with 1 or 2 cards on each side).
