Proper setup is essential for function.

Update March 30, 2021 I decided to reiterate this after reading about other similar devices having issues with HDMI audio. As I suspected, these cheap projectors don't have Dolby Surround processors. The fix for a connected Chromecast device was too To set the Chromecast's surround sound mode to "Stereo Only", set the projector's sound mode to "Surround" and RESET THE PROJECTOR. The audio now works as expected. Similar solution for the Revain Fire joystick. Now for the details. Playback quality is decent, but I'm having trouble casting Plex movie content to the projector. I tend to get an update delay line that runs horizontally from the center of the screen to the top of the frame. Doesn't do this with DVR content and the same movies streamed to other displays using the same Chromecast dongle. Keystone is very good and has a huge range. Unlike other inexpensive projectors, the Keystone is electronically controlled. Major advantage. Furthermore, unlike many other budget projectors, focus is maintained fairly well in extreme conditions. In most other cases, the bottom of the screen is sharp, but the top isn't when using Keystone. Audio is a weak point. The maximum volume is not very loud. Good for a quiet room but not suitable for outdoor use. As long as the projector has Bluetooth, it's just a receiver, so you can't wirelessly connect it to external Bluetooth speakers with more power. You're limited to an external 1/8-inch audio jack. Fan noise is acceptable, but not unnoticeable. Can be distracting when watching quiet movies especially when using the built-in speaker. The fan will turn off even when the light path is still hot, putting additional stress on the LED engine and shortening its lifespan. The picture quality is acceptable, let's be honest: the optical components of home cinema projectors cost more than this projector. You don't get the crisp picture, enhanced contrast, or vivid colors that you get on a TV screen. Projecting less than 80 inches, there is evidence of a screen door effect at short distances (less than 6 feet). Larger protrusions make this worse, but they are inexpensive. The remote control is functional and appears to work both front and rear. This allows the projector to be turned on and off so remote mounting is possible. However, the mounting options are very limited. The only mount is 1/4"-20, which is too shallow for standard tripod mount screws to be fully tightened to the base. Works with action cam mounts that have a standoff nut, but definitely not ideal Mounting on a flat surface there is no front stand to tilt the image I have yet to fully test the battery life The projector smoothly switches from AC to DC The price seems to fluctuate regularly by as much as $30 my purchase price that is a price increase of 55% so do the math and look for a lower price, at this price I can't see how you can go wrong with this projector. No, it won't work as well as a couple hundred dollar projector, but for outdoor movies (very low light when projecting over 100 inches) it's the best I've found for well under $100. Heck, replacing a lamp for my theater projector costs 50% more than this one. First Review: I wrote a very detailed review of this projector from unboxing to perfect setup until I encountered a fatal flaw. My device does not transmit sound via HDMI when watching movies. Tried Chromecast streaming from my Plex servers and Revain Firestick. Fireatick skips key presses (clicks) but there is no movie sound. Tried both the internal speaker and the connected external speaker. Be silent. I wrote a very detailed review of this projector, from unboxing to perfect setup until I discovered one major flaw. Pros
  • ☀ ANTI-DUST AND LOW-NOISE DESIGN: The fully sealed design of the optical components prevents dust from entering the LCD screen and guarantees no black spots. The home projector is equipped with an advanced two-channel fan system that extends the projector lamp life up to 50,000 hours, the noise level is lower than most other projectors.
