A viable alternative to Canon inks

LAST UPDATE: Have been using Nexpage inks for 2 years now with no problems. VERY high quality prints. My Epson Pixma 100 uses a lot of ink but manages it. Nexpage ink is many times cheaper than Canon ink and works perfectly. I think you will be satisfied with gallery quality prints with this ink! --------------------- -------------- - -------------- --------------------- -NEW ADDITION: Nexpage ink is a great ink at a great price. After many cartridges I am very satisfied with the quality of the prints with this ink. ORIGINAL MESSAGE: I'll admit I just bought a Canon Pixma 100 printer so judging is still pending, but I've owned and serviced printers my entire life. I printed about 100 letter size photos before my Canon OEM inks ran out. I replaced them with these ink cartridges and saw NO DIFFERENCE in prints (gallery quality) and 6 out of 8 cartridges are now NEXTPAGE (beware I had a leak but that's ok). I also purchased a set of replacement cartridges from Canon which I will replace when these NEXTPAGE cartridges run out and then make further, more accurate comparisons. But I have to tell you that if I need to do a direct comparison to find a difference, these ink cartridges are my pick - 1/4 the price of Canon OEM ink. BTW, they plug in and print, no issues or warnings from the Pixma 100. They snap firmly in place and seem to work fine with the printer. Finally, I can't vouch for all regular inks, but these products seem great. But who knows, my printer could be down for lunch tomorrow because of crappy pigments, dry cartridges, or scary cosmic rays. As I said, the verdict has not yet been made. Thanks for reading and I hope this was helpful to you.
