After almost 30 years in the IT systems integration industry, I have a strong understanding of hardware. This cable, while a great idea, is completely unreliable. It fits easily into the USB-B port on my Native Instruments keyboard, which breaks the connection. This is in a fixed installation, I don't even touch the keyboard. I can see it disappear in Device Manager. Conversely, replacing it with a standard NI factory-supplied straight-through cable ensures flawless and stable performance. Boring. I even trimmed the "rubber" shroud a bit hoping it would sit a bit lower in the socket. Vain. In fact, it's just an inferior connector. Part A fitted correctly into my USB hub, FWIW. A great idea. Bad performance. Very disappointing as I was looking forward to flush mounting. I don't understand why anyone even bothered to sell this excrement. Let the buyer be alert.
