I used the new Crest whitening gel, but after seeing all the blue light whitening kits, I decided to try it. I ordered the AsaVea Teeth Whitening Pen Set through Vine. The instructions are a bit strange and confusing. There is no mention of whether or not to brush before use. It says it's safe to use multiple times throughout the day, but the same sentence states that it shouldn't be used more than 2 times a day. "Don't swallow" what? Silicone mouthpiece or whitening gel on your teeth? The gel does not taste good at all, worse after 10 minutes in the mouth. I have a TMJ and trying to put the mouthpiece in my mouth and hold it there for 10 minutes is painful. It seems to whiten my teeth and only use it once a day but I won't be using it regularly. For a special upcoming event, I would consider 3-4 additional whitening sessions, but no more. I'll stick with what I've used so far. Overall, I honestly can't recommend any whitening kit, especially if you have jaw issues. But then again, if you don't have a temporomandibular joint, that's not a problem.
