I don't know what the previous post said about the thin bolt flange. It's as good or better than OEM. I was changing the thermostat on my 2007 Ford Fusion, it was difficult to get to. Coolant expansion tank and power steering pump must be removed. But compared to the original, it was identical in hole pattern and performance. I will try to attach some photos. 2. New thermostat on the left and stock on the right. I know it has a nominal 185 degree setting. My engine regulates a constant temperature around 200 degrees and the check engine lights do not come on. I am happy with the product and would recommend it as a direct replacement. It currently seems to be working great. If anything goes wrong I will update this review with the changes. If you look at the photos the only really noticeable difference is the length of the new thermostat which appears to be a bit longer. It does not affect during installation. There is enough space to increase the length. The flange is the same or thicker in some places, and the position of the screws is the same. The new thermostat comes with a gasket and once installed I haven't had any leaks so far. I applied again for a 2007 Ford Fusion, as a side note there is an air outlet hose that goes to the right rear of the engine. Simply unscrew the screw plug to allow air to escape when adding coolant.
