They are really very small. They are more than good enough to meet my needs, but I had to measure the sizes listed to get a better idea of what to expect. The small one fit on my keys and the long one in my wife's purse. They seem strong enough to be kicked. They clamp the entire gripping surface very well, allowing them to pull hair out with ease. This is honestly the best tweezers test in my book so I'm very happy with it. I am happy with the purchase. As for the downsides, it's mostly sophistry. The design allows the tweezers to flex from side to side as it is a solid piece of metal. The hex bit holder only fits the bits in my electronics screwdriver set because they are small. There is a small metal strip where the tweezers were still attached to the sheet metal when cutting out, so this is a minor issue with the finishing. None of this can stop me from buying or enjoying these tweezers. I recommend them.
