I'm 215 5'1 and usually wear XL - 1x I ordered 2x because I wanted a looser fit, the material is nice, cool and the fit can be dressed up or worn as a relaxed fit, it's very versatile and as a fatter woman I always doubt shorts, the shorts were good they didn't ride up on my 888 and they were a great length and didn't open not me, buy other colors, also I could get away with a very big one, it just depends on your image
