Just like the good old days

I bought these for weightlifting shoes as the reviews say they work so well. I have a pair of powerlifting shoes, but research says they're only really good for squats and chucks are better for squats and deadlifts. I've been lifting weights since my dad bought me a set of Sears junior weights in the late '60s. This helped me a lot as most of my high school friends were 2 years older than me which made it a lot harder to play sports at a young age in a small town school. The Converse All Star was the gold standard for basketball shoes in the '70s. I played when I was young and I remember that I wanted them but only from my grandparents (bought me). but instead they bought Pro Keds Deck Boots) I got a lot of criticism from my teammates this year, I found it harder to adapt when you're the only player on the team with the wrong shoes. The following year my parents tried to buy me real shoes but they got swapped (all my teammates knew that at a glance). Another year of wiping out my teammates. It wasn't until years later that I realized my parents just didn't have the extra money to pay for Converse all stars. Anyway I ended up getting a pair or 2 and they worked great. Once I put them on they brought me back a bit, both good and bad memories. They look and feel just like shoes from the 70's. For people who claim they are fake, they are wrong, this is the REAL thing. Air Jordans from the 70's. Most likely, the shoes you bought BEFORE were fake.

Pros
  • High lace up shoes
Cons
  • A few little things
