I was a bit hesitant at first before purchasing this monitor as I heard some people are having problems with Windows XP. Not to mention my current desktop is a three year old Sony VAIO computer. However, I took the chance and bought this monitor and can honestly say that I have had no problems with this monitor and am simply blown away by the picture quality! I simply used the supplied DVI cable and connected the monitor to the network. and went into the control panel on my desktop to set the screen resolution to 1680x1050. I tweaked the contrast, color and brightness a bit and that was it. I didn't use the audio jack to connect the monitor's speakers as I have external speakers that I wanted to use separately, so I can't comment on the quality of the monitor's built-in speakers. Also, I did NOT download ANY of the programs that came with it as everything worked without them! I have no regrets buying this monitor as the quality is AMAZING! If you are interested in my system specifications, they are as follows: System: Sony VAIO VGC-RA825GY Pentium 4 3.6GHz / 2GB RAM / 250GB HDD Graphics: 256MB Nvidia GeForce 7900GTOS: Windows XP Media Center Edition Finally, for the price is simply unbeatable!
