Other excellent reviews cover the technical aspects of this charging station very well. I will add my personal observations and opinions. Prejudice: no. Bought it at full price after reading other reviews here on Revain. (Tweak's video review was particularly helpful as it allowed me to see what it was like to use the product.) Summary: On the first day that I received this product, I'm giving it 5 stars for looks and utility. Before I got this station I made a few homemade device holders, but as I got more portable devices, my bed looked like a repair shop jungle with stacks of kindles, tablets and books; The floor was littered with splinters filled with plugs and adapters. I'm glad I bought this charging station to tame the wildlife a bit. Delivery: The station arrived very quickly - within 2 days of ordering. i have prime It has been properly packaged to avoid damage. Size: * Non-adjustable slots fit the following devices: Kindle Paperwhite with wraparound sleeve (fills slot), Samsung Galaxy S2 with wraparound vinyl sleeve (fills slot), Galaxy S5 thick phone. * You can easily put two S5s in one slot without cases when you have too many items to charge. * My Nintendo 2DS fits the thin edge, but not to the thick edge. (Note: 2DS doesn't use a USB charger, but I also use the GoFanco station as a charging station to consolidate device charging into one place.) *On my device, every other slot is slightly wider than the other slots. The thick edge of the 2DS almost fits into the wider slots. See photos attached to this review. I've added a few so you can see what it looks like if you don't have all the matching black devices. :) Accessories: I bought a set of short USB cables as they are not included. I also used the Galaxy S5 charging cable in one of the slots. Usage Notes: * As other reviewers have noted, the rubber strips on the bottom and the silicone bumpers on the sides of each slot make this station very stable without being heavy. . The devices appear to be secure. * Note that the USB cables MUST be securely fastened in the cradle so that metal objects are not visible where they are connected. At first I thought the box or the cables were defective as the blue power light was on but nothing was charging. My experience with tech support tells me that 75% of issues are cable related, so I replaced it with a known good cable. It wasn't until I fully secured each cable that it worked. It was easy to notice that they weren't fully inserted, although they felt firm when first plugged in. You just had to push them a little. Ease of use: I have mild arthritis in my hands and it was a breeze to firmly attach the USB cables. The insertion points are solid, meaning there aren't any dangling or wiggling cables, but it's still easy to set up. Efficiency: I have no way of measuring charging efficiency like other reviewers have, but the proof, as they say, is in the pudding; My phone charged very quickly using its own data cable. Aesthetics: * This is a sleek looking device - very compact, shiny, plastic. I like the clean, modern look. Very minimalist - which is good if you have a lot of devices and cables. *As other reviewers have noted, using very short USB cables can improve appearance, by reducing cable clutter. They are available at reasonable prices here at Revain. * The external power bank for the device is pretty well sized, as you can imagine, to charge at the same time. It's about the size of a laptop power adapter. There are two of them, about 3 feet. Cables on each side of the power supply, this allows it to be hidden out of sight but not too far from the station. So place your station accordingly.
