We bought these light and dark gray sizes 9-10 for my 9 year old son who has a slim build. They're long, just above the knee, but a little tight at the waist, which is surprising given how things usually sit on them. I would recommend going up a size by one or even two, if your children have a more athletic or stronger physique. I avoid synthetic fabrics in my children's clothing, so I think it's great that it's 100% cotton. They will shrink if you wash the cotton in warm water or tumble dry, so keep that in mind when choosing your size.
