Okay, this product was recommended to me by a friend so I went with this expensive cleaner. When I received the package I could smell the detergent and it really smelled AMAZING. Big. I can't wait to smell it after washing and I can fall asleep to this amazing oakmoss and cedar scent. Well, that's the point. When I sniffed after washing - nothing. After dyeing (with a dryer) nothing. The friend who recommended this cleaner actually visited me last week so I made sure all the towels and sheets were washed before coming to my apartment. (2nd use by Frey). I asked him to smell my sheets and towels when he came over here and he said "Hmmm I don't feel anything - my clothes are wrong - it must be your washing machine or something." again. This was the third time I've used the cleaner. I decided I had to make it this round because I genuinely believe all of these positive reviews should be real, so I DOUBLE the splash. I put 12 for EACH boot (color and white). TWELVE jets - I mean - that's practically half a bottle. I did the same for the dryer - I overdid the sheets. I inserted 7 SHEETS! Don't you know - nothing. Like washing clothes in clear water. no smell Nothing. Usually reviews are very important to me - what an AMAZING rating this product has, so why is my case different you ask? I can only assume that these are my industrial size washing machines in an apartment building in New York that need to hold a lot of clothes, so maybe it's just washing and rinsing TOO MUCH clothes? I'm not sure - I shrug too. As I told my friend I agree the detergent smells great - straight out of the bottle - these astronomical prices don't make clothes and linens smell good - then it's not worth it. For now I just use the leftover detergent as a stain soap to wash in the sink for delicate items that I HOPE will linger once a little water has washed away the smell. In the meantime, back to my hug.
