Striking design, beautiful

The design of this pin is quite striking, with a slightly warm silver tone complementing the deep red stone in the centre. And it came with a spare backing pad in case it gets lost! The detail on this pin is fairly adequate for a solid casting and while there are a few small bubbles and defects in the silver finish, these defects are not visible from more than a foot away. The stone has a very brilliant cut although it is slightly offset on mine due to the small amount of epoxy/glue covering the underside of the stone. The glue is transparent so not very noticeable but it robs the stone of all its beauty due to the angle/occlusion. The pins on this pen are quite thick which means they are strong and hardly bend at all. There are some things you probably shouldn't get stuck on. The size, weight and size of the bar makes me hesitant to attach this to an actual lapel unless it is a wool coat lapel (as pictured). I wouldn't recommend this on a suit, for example, as the weight and thickness of the needles can permanently disfigure (or in the worst case damage) the clothing. It's also a bit big for a suit lapel. However, this pin is suitable for wool or loose knit/broad woven garments, canvas/denim bags/hats/jackets. The needles on this needle *can* go through woven fabrics if you are careful and patient with the process. The tips are sharp enough to rip thin threads if you use too much force, but if you wiggle them slowly through the material, they'll cut through the fibrous weave without causing damage. This *can* result in obvious "holes" in your clothing by pulling the fibers too far out of the fabric. So be sure to remove the needle after use if wearing it on clothes you love to minimize stretching of these fibers. tolerate. You should also be able to gently massage the fibers in place to close the "hole" if this doesn't seem to be doing itself.
