I spent a day or two thinking about which salt and pepper grinder to buy, I wanted something pretty good. This one seemed to have some great reviews and looked like something that would work well. NO! Doesn't grind well, and what's crushed doesn't come out easily from the top of the shaker, forcing you to shake it well and then the entire lid comes off and your food gets basted with salt or pepper. This morning I was grinding salt without the top cover and everything just fell apart and all the salt from the whole shaker got on my eggs. The materials are also cheap. I would not recommend this set. I'm not sure why you can't find a decent salt and pepper shaker, but that seems to be the problem. I guess I'll be going back to my all in one shaker until I find a replacement that actually works. I would have returned it but it sat in the box for a while before we used it and the window closed. Please don't waste your money on this set. It's terrible!
