Attractive appearance, but major flaws make it unusable.

The master bedroom in my house is above the garage and is the furthest room from the stove, so it needs extra heating every winter. I was looking for a quiet heater (e.g. fanless) with a front that doesn't feel hot to the touch (safe for kids and pets), with a thermostat (so it's easy to set and forget), and that was what appealed enough to be visible four months a year in space. This appeared to fit the bill and meet the criteria above, but had two fundamental flaws that made me return it. 1) Once it starts heating, the heat it gives off distorts its internal thermostat and so it immediately thinks the room is much warmer than it actually is. The picture attached to this review shows that the heater thought the room was 22 degrees when it was actually 68 degrees. So it's not possible to judge what temperature to set overnight to keep the room warm enough (e.g. 66 - 70 degrees) because you really have to set it to 78-80 and hope you the best. 2) The heater will not turn on until the temperature sensed by the thermostat is 4 degrees below the set temperature. So if you set the unit to 70 it won't do anything until it drops to 66 and due to bug #1 it shuts down almost immediately as the heat turned on distorts the thermostat. When I set the heater to a specific temperature I want it to stay closer than 4 degrees to the target temp because the difference between 66 and 62 is quite dramatic on cold winter nights. So if you need a bedroom heater for the night that you can just set to your desired temperature and leave, it will NOT work for you. Don't buy them and ignore any reviews that say otherwise as they claim to be paid reviews. If you're looking for an attractive living room or hallway heater that you can easily turn on at maximum temperature and turn off manually when you feel warm enough, this is probably for you. Celsius to Fahrenheit, it's a bit tricky but doable, just read the Revain instructions and Q&A on this page, you'll figure it out after a few tries like me. A review of this product states that the instructions for changing from C to F aren't in the manual, which, uh, is.
