Review on Maxsa 48219 Battery-Powered Motion-Activated Wall Sconce with Golden Copper Finish by Sean Young

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Quick and easy installation and great looks

Good for when you need a quick, easy and hassle-free fixture installation. It was very easy, just drill 2 holes, screw on the mounting plate, attach the lamp with 2 more screws and you're done! Batteries are not included, it requires 4 C size batteries (for some reason the description above mentions D) and there are 2 brightness settings for the light. I bought a 6500k flashlight and it puts out a decent amount of light on my tailgate. The lamp looks exactly like the picture, is well made and light weight (not cheap at all). The motion sensor works pretty well but it doesn't have the greatest detection range, I wouldn't say it's 30ft like the box claims, which is fine as I only need it to see when I'm opening the door at night unlock. The light stays on for about 30 seconds and looks like a cool LCD glow. It worked for what I needed it for. I'll update the review in a few weeks to let you know if I'm having battery issues like some of the other reviews mentioned. Overall this is a good buy *UPDATE* I bought this in August 2016, it's now February 2017 and this light is still working! I have noticed that the light has dimmed a bit but I think this is due to the battery draining after 6 months of use so I will be replacing the batteries today. Overall still a good light and it still shines bright! The only complaint I have is that in heavy rain I notice that the sensor sometimes doesn't pick up movement if there are too many raindrops on the sensor. bottom line. I am satisfied with my purchase, I recommend buying this lamp!
