Maxsa 48219 Battery-Powered Motion-Activated Wall Sconce with Golden Copper Finish Review

We bought this for use in front of the house. We wanted the light outside and didn't want electricity on the porch. We live in a townhouse and want the light to be outside when we come home and it's dark outside. One thing that really happens is every time the car is driven with the lights on. Still a great buy and looks great. If you live near a busy road, you may need to replace the batteries every three months or so.

I would buy many more of these lights if needed. Super bright and the sensor has a long range of motion detection. Installation was pretty quick and straightforward. I bought 2 lights to be outside of our kennel. The look and style of the lamp is surprisingly modern, not flashy. Now I have to start buying lots of batteries for 4D, I would be happier if the light was sunny. So far, so good. I'll be back to share some pics with the lights installed

Ordered two, only one delivered so far. Installation was easy. The light works well as a motion sensor but has no way to turn it on and leave it on all night. I think I misunderstood when he said it turns on at dusk. Anyway, so far so good. Not even sure if we need to install another one. This seems to be bright enough at 100% power. EDIT: Light doesn't work at low temperatures. They are either very dim or don't turn on at all. Very disappointed. I don't know how it will behave in the summer…

I've bought 3 of these over the years. The first was excellent, served for 3 years, always worked perfectly until one fine day it just died. The second worked for about 9 months, then the sensor stopped working properly and kept turning on and off all night. It was still under warranty, but you have to pay shipping and it's heavy, almost like new. Tried swapping batteries for other brands, didn't help. The third was broken on arrival, never turned off and the sensor was dangling from the bottom

I really liked the look of this lantern. I installed it on the back deck next to the door. I wasn't particularly happy that it only stayed on for 20 seconds after motion was detected and that the time couldn't be adjusted. I am very happy with the lamp, so much so that I have ordered a second one. The lamp was very easy to install - 2 screws in the fairing and 2 bolts to attach the lamp to the base. While not as trendy as some lamps that require electrical wiring, they are attractive and look good in my Victorian home. Good for when you need a quick, easy and hassle-free fixture installation. It was very easy, just drill 2 holes, screw on the mounting plate, attach the lamp with 2 more screws and you're done! Batteries are not included, it requires 4 C size batteries (for some reason the description above mentions D) and there are 2 brightness settings for the light.
