I am very happy with the lamp, so much so that I have ordered a second one. The lamp was very easy to install - 2 screws in the fairing and 2 bolts to attach the lamp to the base. While not as trendy as some lamps that require electrical wiring, they are attractive and look good in my Victorian home. Of course, the big advantage is that it is battery operated, so no new wiring is required. What I really like is that the lamp is not only sensitive to movement but also to heat. That means my house's flag flapping in the wind won't cause it to turn on, but animals or people walking on the porch will. It puts out quite a bit of light - I could see well enough to use the saw to cut several boards one night using only the light from this lamp and I set it to a lower output power setting. I really like the sense of security I have now when I come home or go outside - no more wild animal surprises.
