This is more hygienic than your traditional toothbrush holder. I don't like cup holders that keep all the dirt underneath. It is nicely open and allows excess moisture to dry quickly. If necessary, I can just take the toothbrush holder and wipe the sink. I love the look of this toothbrush holder and love that my electric toothbrush fits in it too! It appears to be very well made and I appreciate the extra thought that went into this design such as the rubber feet that have been added to the bottom of the holder.
