This is fantastic! I've never used the magic brand eraser, so I can't compare it to this one. However, for everyday cleaning, they are much better than cloths or spray and rags. They are very good for stains from hard water, stainless steel and soap scum. I love that you don't have to do anything other than wet them. This makes cleaning so much easier! Be aware that they can be too good at cleaning if you're not careful. I accidentally removed some caulk from the sink when I was overzealous in cleaning. It also did a great job removing the sticker and sticky backing from my toilet - you may not want to peel the stickers off of devices you may need! My biggest downside is that they don't last very long. I've found I can use one for one bathroom cleaning session before it breaks too far to use and for about two or three kitchen sessions. many at a decent price ($32.99) that are totally worth buying. They work really well on stubborn stains, but be aware that they can clean too well if you're not careful.
