🌿 Eplanita Natural Dishwashing Sponges (Pack of 6), Eco-Friendly Kitchen Scrub Scourer, Organic Loofah Plant, Biodegradable and Zero Waste Review

I was on a mission to make small changes in our house that would impact the planet, so I decided to use these sponges. It takes a little getting used to because of the difference in material, but I like it. I also used it to clean my shower which worked very well.

Sponges lasted much longer than a regular store bought sponge, only about 3 weeks. I was worried it would peel and fall apart when I first got it, but it doesn't. It also didn't smell bad or discolor until the last few days before we threw it away. In general, we really liked the sponge!

I need some time to get used to this sponge. It's stiffer than a standard sponge, making it difficult to clean the edges and edges of things. I tried soaking it overnight, it worked. I'm determined to live a greener life so I'm sticking with them. Otherwise it works!

As I became more conscious, I wanted to try them. That's a great idea, but even when fully deployed, they're pretty small. I'm a petite person and have small hands so it was a bit difficult for me to actually hold them and do the dishes. Even fully soaked, it's still a bit stiffer than I'd like. I'll probably use the rest for countertops and bathtubs, but not for washing dishes.

These sponges work like ordinary sponges, even better. They do not retain food residue when washing dishes, but are immediately rinsed off with water. They are good at scraping food off dishes. The only thing I wouldn't rate as not good is that sometimes part of the loofah falls off. But overall they are amazing and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a zero waste alternative to sponges.

These are good sponges but I don't think I'll be buying them again. They're smaller than I'd like and they're narrower than a traditional sponge so they're a bit difficult to grab when scrubbing. Their cleaning power is good, but don't expect it to remove burnt bits. The first sponge lasted at least 4 weeks before it started breaking. The next one only lasted 2 weeks before becoming unusable. The fun part is getting the sponge wet for the first time!

Great little sponges. They have pretty good cleaning power, picking up dried foods and other nasty stains with ease (I use steel scouring heads on my pots and pans though, so I can't confirm how these sponges handle stains like this). I love that I can hang them on the sink handle to dry. I've been using the same sponge for about a month now and it's still in good condition with no rancid smell. I hope they compost well, but I don't know the answer to that yet.

When I first opened the package, I was shocked at how thin, hard and rough they are. I knew the sponge would expand on contact with water, but I didn't expect it to double its original size. Not only did it expand, but the roughness also decreased. It also lathers well. Although it's listed as a dishwashing sponge, I think it would make a great shower sponge too. The six pack is a great bargain at this price, especially considering it's made from a natural material and how eco-friendly it is…
