Lava is an excellent scrub for hands and feet.
When I was younger we always had lava soap. In recent years it has disappeared from the shops where I live now. I don't know why because it definitely served its purpose. I have now decided to use it to exfoliate my feet and hands as I have very dry skin and regular soap doesn't cause extra loose skin. So yeah, I'm enjoying the coarse texture of the lava soap again.
