Review on 💻 i-Star Laptop Cooling Pad with 2 USB Ports, Adjustable Height and LED Fans with Speed Control - Gaming Laptop Cooler Pad for Efficient Computer Cooling by Fisseha Rodgers

Cheap, plastic, but mostly functional.

for my recently purchased Dell G3 gaming laptop that runs hotter than Satan's butt. (The CPU pretty much lives around 95 degrees when gaming! And that's when using Dell's "G-mode" which runs the onboard fans at 100.%) I didn't expect to have to take everything apart just for that Best to re-insert thermal paste (which was the most common solution I found online). I'll be disassembling desktops all day, but laptops can be a bit more delicate and I don't trust my luck. So I decided to try a cheap laptop cooler as a first solution. This guy was cheap, had a spare USB (so I wouldn't lose one on my laptop, which only has 3. And I use them all for my mouse, gamepad, and headset.) and it glows blue, which is the glow of matches the keyboard on my G3. I like that it can be raised and there is a small fold out bracket to hold the laptop in place. The fans aren't overly loud (quieter than "G mode" on a laptop anyway), even at max speed, and seem to do their job of pushing the air up nicely. It helps a little with my CPU and GPU temperatures. The processor is now closer to 90c which is still not great but slightly better so it actually works as advertised. HUGE SCAM: The USB ports are junk though. It doesn't matter which connector I use to power the fans as both will do their job well. This is the other port that becomes a problem. None of my peripherals other than a mouse work when connected to a cooling pad. And a few times my mouse's lights flicker and act like it's not getting enough power. Rather than risk losing something due to poor wiring, I gave up using it and had to buy a USB hub instead. If you need a cooling stand and it sells for less than $10, buy it. Otherwise I would keep looking.
