I recommend this brand of embroidery hoop
I think they are well made. I took the plunge and bought Hardwicke Manor Hoops as well. I can't find much difference between them other than the price. Nurge is just as well made and a lot cheaper. I noticed that the HM tire has a smoother surface and a more rounded edge. Both have very good hardware. Nurge has very distinctive devices under their brand. Would give the Nurge five stars if their finish was smoother, but there's no difference in performance or what they're made for. I like both and would buy the Nurge brand again.
