I'm taking this one down from 5 stars to 1. I bought it almost exactly a year ago. I use a good quality glue stick. Someone else showed a photo of one where the glue had set in the hole between the front and back and I'm having the same problem. I had trouble getting the glue out at all. It's going crazy now. (From constipation to diarrhea!) I had to push it through with a sticking out piece. I squeezed the trigger so that it clicked past the point where it should have stopped. It was terribly inconsistent and almost unusable. Now I'm looking for a new one. ************** Old Rating This product still works exactly as expected. I bought one for my daughter to go to college this fall. When my very inexpensive glue gun stopped working, I borrowed it and was happy with it. These are simple items so there is nothing to worry about. Borrowed from her, I ordered one. In the 6 weeks since my order they have updated the product to have the slide switch set to high and low. That was the only problem I had with her. The auto off function works. I thought I read that the smaller one didn't have this feature, so I was glad when it did. (I've lost my memory since my first order.) I went back and labeled it with a label printer. I will update my review if I run into any problems in the future.
