Will not fit in my Headlight Body

UPDATE 2: I installed them in front of my house. They fit snugly in the fixture and only slightly push the real bulb out of the fixture. In general they looked good. The problem arose when it started to rain. Both lights are affected by the weather, one more than the other. One that is fully exposed to the rain will allow some rain into the lamp. This water, in turn, can easily get into the socket of the light sensor, causing it to stop working. The water likely destroyed the internal electronics of the device. Although the light sensor port says it can be used in "wet" places, that place must not be too wet. UPDATE 1: After giving it some more thought, I realized they will never work in a 'traditional' floodlight. Even if you can screw them into the socket, the case covers the sensor and they will never detect light and will never turn off. So the description is misleading unless there is some sort of "headlight" that has light sockets exposed outside of the case. I bought it to use with my headlights. I don't know if my headlights use a "standard" housing or similar, but they don't fit the housing to screw into the sockets. They barely fit into the case, but aren't long enough to actually "hook" the threads of the screw sockets. If they were a little narrower or longer, they would probably work just fine. I plan to only use them for the lights in front of the house, but I was dying to use them in the backyard.

Pros
  • Bulb Timer. Intelligent sensor technology with photocell switches interior and exterior lights on and off automatically. This twilight sensor socket is an alternative to expensive twilight bulbs and separate timers.
Cons
  • boring packaging
