Improved Design in Electrical

I received these to use with 2 new garage door lights. I bought 2 flashlight bulbs to work with but unfortunately my car's headlights weren't long enough and the light sensor + large flashlight bulb were sticking out at the bottom. I ended up replacing my internal switch with a Wi-Fi enabled switch and using the Alexa stage to control the lights. The design of these light sensors seems to outperform the competition. With this sensor, the light sensor recognizes the twilight and activates; it…

Everything is OK. for sockets

I received 2, packs of two, so four in total. In the first pack, one overheated, so hot it burned my hand, and I smelled boredom, so I took it out right away. He planned to return them all because he believed they were meant to be like this. But I tried two more and both were fine. So I saved them and threw away the hot one. The only downside to this is that it sometimes turns on when it's still light outside and only works for a maximum of eight hours. The point of having them is to light them

Pros
  • Easy to install - switch off the power and screw the compact light control into the socket. Screw the bulb into the remote control. Program your controls as needed. No wires or tools required. Works with incandescent bulbs up to 100W, compact fluorescent bulbs and LED bulbs. Do not use with opaque or frosted glass fixtures.
Cons
  • unreliable

SECURITY THREAT! Be careful when installing

Very mixed review. I ordered a double pack of these light sensor sockets for a closed outdoor light. The installation process couldn't be simpler, simply screw it into your existing socket like a regular light bulb. After that it went downhill quickly. Immediately after screwing the device into the socket, I heard a loud buzz, accompanied by clouds of smoke and flames. Obviously some short in the internal electronics. I jumped back and thankfully the device burned out in a matter of seconds…

Pros
  • for outdoor and indoor lighting - screw it into outdoor lighting socket/socket (for porch and spotlights) as well as indoor lighting e.g. in lobbies. Keep your way lit in the dark and save energy and money.
Cons
  • So far so good

Will not fit in my Headlight Body

UPDATE 2: I installed them in front of my house. They fit snugly in the fixture and only slightly push the real bulb out of the fixture. In general they looked good. The problem arose when it started to rain. Both lights are affected by the weather, one more than the other. One that is fully exposed to the rain will allow some rain into the lamp. This water, in turn, can easily get into the socket of the light sensor, causing it to stop working. The water likely destroyed the internal…

Pros
  • Bulb Timer. Intelligent sensor technology with photocell switches interior and exterior lights on and off automatically. This twilight sensor socket is an alternative to expensive twilight bulbs and separate timers.
Cons
  • boring packaging
