I took it as a second monitor because I needed two monitors for work. It's a little more expensive than my LG, but the picture is stronger. Just generally lighter before I adjusted the color. Surprisingly light too. The adjustment buttons on the bottom are cumbersome and the monitor stand is pretty flimsy. However, the build quality of the monitor appears to be good. I don't play so I can't talk about it. I wanted a good, reliable monitor. It doesn't have to be very fancy. I got what I wanted and am very satisfied. I've only had it for about a week so if it stops in three months or so you'll still be hearing from me.
