I have these in my theater system with S35 Center and S10 Rear and SVS SB12 subwoofer. Your base reaction is fantastic. Listening to pop/hip hop sounds like there is a small subwoofer. Obvious difference with SB12 included but still amazing. They're also great for a standalone music setup without a subwoofer. The level of detail is also fantastic, you can hear every detail. The tweeters are super smooth. I see no reason to take rooks with their clarity and base response. In my opinion, any speaker that's great for music is great for theater. I love this establishment. S10 are perfect for rear speakers. I use an Onkyo TXNR656 as a receiver. I. The whole setup is definitely to be recommended. Update: After about 6 months I noticed that the laminated surface was blistering on most speakers. My S20's are the worst with big bubbles around every corner. Still sounds great, but the build quality isn't that great.
