3M offers a professional tool with good ergonomics for everyday use in the production environment. I have used a 6" Cubitron Elite 3/32" DA orbital gun as well as a 3" 1/8" orbital gun, 3 years in automotive trim with little to no maintenance other than the occasional oil and still works perfectly with little noise. This 3/8" sander is great when you need something that will quickly clean the plate down to bare metal while also being able to precisely remove multiple layers of coating without damaging it. The exact same device was provided by the aerospace installation company I work for and these are old instruments that still work well.
