To tell you the truth, I have no idea what criteria the toasters have that should be used to choose one over the other. That is why I went with that option. And I think it's safe to say that the Kitfort designers are getting their money's worth. The gadget has a sophisticated appearance, which prompts one to desire to instantly improve their other kitchen equipment (obviously to those made by the same manufacturer as this one). This kind of toaster might be found in the kitchen of the post-apocalyptic world of Fallout or in another piece of fiction that belongs to the dieselpunk or retrofuturist genre. There are also no complaints regarding the functionality, which is especially impressive taking into consideration the low-cost toasters that I had to use in the past. This bread browns uniformly (which is nonsensical, considering that it tastes better closer to the top than it does from the bottom), and it enables you to easily elevate it to the right height and remove it without running the danger of getting burned in the process. And if all of a sudden I get sidetracked by something, and the bread gets cold (and I'm an absent-minded programmer who eats at the computer, and this happens quite frequently) - you can always switch the toaster to the fast heating mode with one button in thirty seconds, and heat the bread back without worrying that you will overcook him. In addition, there is a defrost mode; but, because I have not had any cause to test it up until this point, I am unable to comment on it. It appears like the side panels are made of plastic. Although it is unfortunate that the side panels are not made of metal, the plastic itself is not terrible and has a really pleasant feel when touched. However, there are a few drawbacks, such as the fact that fairly frequently when I push the "heating" button, start the toaster, and then realize that it is cooking in the regular mode. Why? If the backlight is turned off, hitting the button on the toaster will not activate its function; instead, it will just turn on; therefore, you will need to press the button twice. It should be noted that the "heating" does not turn off by itself, thus it is not unusual for the situation to change around (even without the need to click any more buttons).
