Has also given me more light than my old ballast. I took the temperature of both the old and new after they had warmed up for an hour. The old ballast ran at 150 degrees Fahrenheit while the new ballast ran at 96 degrees Fahrenheit. I didn't have an ammeter to measure current at the time, but the difference in operating temperature is definitely an indication of low power.
