If water accidentally gets on it, it is perfectly normal as it can resist water. The color is pale pink with a unicorn on it, so more for girls. It also has a drawstring top, you'll need a laundry basket to keep it closed. I find this is a simple but cute laundry basket/laundry hamper, but I find the price too expensive for this type of product.
