Review on πŸ—οΈ Donald Durham 076694000046 4-Lb White Rockhard Water Putty by Todd Taniguchi

Revainrating 5 out of 5

High quality, easy to use, good value all purpose putty and wood putty

This is a great product that should not be missing from any handyman arsenal, especially at a great price with an additional range here. At the local orange store, it costs at least twice as much. It is a fine off-white powder that needs to be mixed with water. Dilute it with a thin layer, it's a great protective layer that fills the pores/grains. Mix it thicker it's a putty filling knotholes etc. It says it doesn't shrink but of course it does shrink a little as it dries which requires more than 1 application for deeper holes etc etc. It's also very abrasive. Well, you can get a great smooth finish. As with any putty it will stain etc. but you should always experiment before using it in your final project. i will paint I can save money with lower quality plywood, build my shelf/cabinet etc, fill in the grain and imperfections with it, sand it back and get a perfectly smooth and even surface to paint on. no joke. I wouldn't say it's structural - I think you could add some fibers or fillers to strengthen it, but I haven't experimented with that yet. If you're building anything, you should definitely have a tin of this stuff on your shelf, especially if you're a carpenter. I've just finished a can I bought over 5 years ago and it was still good.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Not as thick as other putties
