I hoped for the same as in my childhood. Tube socks were so named because they were woven in the shape of a straight tube with a closed toe. There was no cure. By wearing them, you deformed the area where you were treated. There's no sewn-in protection to prevent it from being stretched too far, sagging, or slipping underfoot. They were also made of soft, relatively dense cotton. They have a special healing area sewn in and the material is more like stockings or compression stockings. Also, they are too long. As an average height guy, I can get them slightly above the knee. Sock whistles, even in childhood, were never above my knee. I can't wear this. Maybe a Halloween costume for my wife.
