Review on Sigma AF 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Canon EF lens, black by Janis Riekstins ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm very happy with the product, it's very satisfying.

One of my favorite lenses, but with character))) When I bought it, he smeared shamelessly, there was a long story and dancing with tambourines before he worked as it should, out of 10 frames 2 hit the point and 4 each with back and front focus. I handed it over to the service, adjusted it - it didn’t help, I bought a docking station, it got better, but not much. As a result, after a bunch of unnecessary material read and screened out on the forums, it turned out that the matter was in the firmware (at that time the lens was fresh and a few people faced this problem and wrote how they solved it, most simply handed over or changed to another, and even more just wrote that Sigma is , only native optics rules the world). So, I changed the firmware on the carc and it began to work just fabulous, I love this lens, absolutely everyone likes it. The only joint that may not be a joint, but my curvature or specificity - in backlight it clings worse to the focus point than, say, 24-70 2.8, well, it smears more often, but only at values below 2.0, after 2.0 everything is super, but I relate to this as in the specifics of high-aperture technology (the same electric 135 2.0 also walks and clings for a long time, but you all know what result it gives if it catches) and this is probably due to some laws of optics, but I'm not a techie, don't scold , I like to create and not go into details. A camera and lenses are like a brush for an artist, you need to get used to the specifics of this or that thing and use it to create and get up))) which is what I wish everyone)

Pros
  • - Fix - Aperture - The weight - Compactness - Quality - Picture
Cons
