I bought these for use at work where we use Motorola/Bearcat handheld radios to communicate on the golf course. In the 6 years I worked there I tried many different brands, some provided by my employer, others I bought. When my last one broke after two seasons of constant use I couldn't find the same brand so I tried the Quarry version. She hardly works. The sound quality on both transmit and receive is similar to Marconi wireless technology from the 1900s. "Distorted" and "mute" are two descriptors that you do NOT want to attach to your communications device. One of the positive things about this product is that I gave a second headset to a colleague who is constantly chatting on our channel. For the rest of us, it's easy to turn it off now that its transmissions are reduced to background noise.
