Review on Mustard Magnetic Paper Clip Dispenser by Barbara Lopes

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great idea let down by weak magnets

Really love this paper clip holder as it will be a great addition to my desk. Einstein's character is great. Wonderful detail. Good finish and solid construction. Unfortunately, all this is overshadowed by the absolute weakness of the magnetic field in the head. The image of Einstein's "crazy hair" product in the form of 30-40 paperclips exaggerates the capabilities of this product. There simply isn't a large enough rim at the top of the skull to create a mass of "hair". At best, about a dozen paperclips are hanging. Maybe the magnets are too deep below the surface. (I even tried adding a stack of neodymium magnets to the cavity inside, but that didn't increase the field in the right places.)

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • weak
