I absolutely fell in love with these shoes, but had to return the first pair because they were too large. I usually wear anything between size 5 and 6. About 80% of the time when I buy shoes I wear a size 6 and the other 20% I either fit into 5 1/2 or 5. This time I had to go with a size 5, the 6 was way too big for me. The straps around the ankle were not an issue though, if they look like theyre a little loose on the photo, just know that I'm a very small and slim woman so I believe for most people it won't be an issue at all. As far as the shoe quality goes, theyre beautiful satin shoes that are a great choice to pair with a wedding dress. They didn't have ivory color, but the champagne was perfectly fine to go with my ivory dress. I read from fashion advice columns that if you can't find the shoe color to match your dress, to always go darker, not lighter or it'll make your dress look as if it's dirty.I don't know how much truth there is to that, but I loved the look of these shoes so much that I was willing to make the champagne color work. It's a very light shade of the color so it worked out perfect for me. I added a photo where you can see the shoe against the fabric of my dress so you can be the judge as to what you think of the color pairing. The shoes also have little tiny diamond accents on the buckles which I believe to be a nice touch.One thing to note though is that these shoes can get extremely uncomfortable when worn for long periods of time. I wore them for my ceremony, but when dancing time came around, I pulled out the flats. You have to remember these are 4 1/2 inch heels. Definitely not made for prolonged walking.Overall my experience was a positive one and I've delighted to have bought these shoes.
